We take great pride in the scientific excellence of our invited lecturers, panels, side events and authors of papers included in Special and regular sessions at the SDEWES Conference, but there is another program that truly makes this Conference complete, and this is our Social programme.
From 24-29 September 2023, you will have the unique opportunity to enjoy the company of top experts in the field of sustainable development from all around the world and, through our social programme, exchange ideas in a more informal way, while enjoying the beautiful sites and history of Dubrovnik.

Welcome reception
24 September (Sunday), 18:00 – 20:00h
Registration will start at 16:00 h, so stop by at the Valamar Lacroma hotel businees centre during the day to register and join us for welcome drinks where we will formally start the Conference. The reception will be held at 18:00 h at the Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik hotel's terrace.

Prepare for having wonderful memories from the SDEWES2023 social event as we have a very special afternoon planned for our conference participants.
Each participant will receive a special ticket with instructions/schedule for the excursion and dinner. Detailed instructions and up to date timetables of bus/boats departures are available below (subject to change).

14:45 – 15:30 Tour of Shell Museum
15:30 – 16:30 Tour of Cavtat
16:30 – 17:00 Drive to Ljuta village
17:00 – 18:00 Presentation and snack
18:00 – 19:00 Drive back to the hotel
19:30 - Dinner at outer plateau of Valamar Lacroma Hotel (inside in case of bad weather)
GROUP B - Scenic cruise & Old Town stroll (Bus transfer + boat cruise + orientation tour of the town)
14:00 - Departing from Valamar Lacroma hotel
14:45 Arriving to the port
14:45 – 15:45 Cruise with a motor boat from the Dubrovnik Cruise Port to the Old Town (a glas of sparkling wine is included)
15:45 – 17:00 Orientation tour of the town, without entrances
17:00 – 18:15 Return cruise back to the ship in cruise port
18:15 – 18:30 Drive back to the hotel
19:30 - Dinner at outer plateau of Valamar Lacroma Hotel (inside in case of bad weather)
GROUP C - Ston & oysters (Bus + small boat tours with tasting)
